note : The true identity of Iris farreri is confused. According to the new flora of China, this taxon is valid. According to James W.Waddick (Iris of China), Iris farreri is placed under Iris polysticta with yellow flowers (?). According to Fritz Köhlein (Iris), Iris farreri is a form of Iris graminea.
